My book is published… but don’t buy it!

Look at that… it’s, yet again, morning already and I am still at the computer. But I have officially uploaded the files to Amazon for both my book and its companion journal! Any minute now, the book could show as available online! Oh, man. This is really happening!

So, why tell you not to buy the book? It’s partially for your benefit and partially selfish.

If you wait until October 1st, I will heavily discount both the print and eBooks for a 48-hour launch sale. This means you will save $3 on the print books (or $4 on the eBook) by waiting a few more days. To be notified when the discounts are active, watch for me to post the below graphic on social media, join my newsletter, or attend a launch party (in person / online).

The selfish reason I ask you for patience is because Amazon cares a lot when multiple people buy a book all at the same time. By waiting until the official launch, your order will impact how the book shows in Amazon rankings. Even though these discounts strip out almost all the profit, if enough people buy books on launch day, it can help me reach readers outside my personal circles. I am confident this book will change lives and want to do everything I can to reach as many readers as possible.

I bet you are wondering, “Why publish the book early if you don’t want people to buy it?” That’s a great question! Amazon does not yet let self-published authors publish their books on a set date. After submission, the files enter a review process which can take anywhere from 11 hours to 3 days. Once approved, the book is immediately available to purchase. To ensure the book is available in time for the launch parties, I submitted my files today.

I am so excited about what God is going to do in the lives of those who read this book! Check back tomorrow (well, I guess later today, since it’s now 1:30am) for another excerpt from the manuscript. Thank you for all the prayers, encouragement, and support!
